Game Inspiration:

It doesnt snow very often in the Southern Appalachian mountains where I grew up...but you always wished for snow. And when there wasnt snow, you figured out ingenious ways to still slide down the steep hills with every intention of just going fast, without winding up in a blackberry bramble bush.

Most of the time in the summer you could slide down a mountain meadow on lush patches of grass and leaves on a giant appliance box. If you were lucky, sometimes you could go on an outing to Sliding Rock and slide down the moss covered slippery rocks in a truck tire. And if you were REALLY lucky your grandmother would take you to Gatlinburg, Tennessee and you would ride the cable car up the mountain and slide or "ski" in the little speedy cars down concrete troughs. If you were really good, you would be rewarded with your own box of taffy from the Smoky Mountain Candy Kitchen where you could watch them wind the sticky taffy on giant wooden spindles with your face glued to the window.
